Young author Gabrielle Begun visits Synergy School
Today, Synergy School welcomed local author, 13-year-old Gabrielle Begun, to share her children’s book, Freddy the Penny, with Synergy Star Room, Rainbow Room, and 4/5 students. Gabrielle read a couple of chapters from her very entertaining transitional chapter book and gave students the inside scoop on her inspiration for the main characters. We can’t wait to read the rest ourselves!
Students and teachers, and especially the budding authors among us, were inspired by Gabrielle’s personal story and enjoyed everything she shared about her writing process and the book publishing process. We learned that it takes confidence in yourself, many rewrites, persistence, and patience to get a story published.
Gabrielle signed books for those students who purchased them today. Anyone still wanting to purchase a book should visit www.gabriellebegun.com. You can follow Gabrielle’s future progress through the articles she writes for The Girls – The Project for Women.
