Governance
Synergy School governance is based on the collective leadership of the Educational Cooperative and the Board of Trustees.
The Cooperative shapes the educational environment and makes decisions about the program, curriculum, student life, and teacher hiring and evaluation. It includes an administrative team that is responsible for day-to-day operations and school wide communication. For more about why the school was founded as a co-op, please see our History page.
The Board is responsible for strategic planning, as well as policy decisions that ensure the school’s financial health and fulfillment of itsĀ mission. It is also responsible for the hiring and evaluation of the teacher-administrators. For more about the Board’s most current work, read the 2020 Strategic Plan.
