Camping and Backpacking

Synergy School's TK-3 family communal campout is located among the redwoods in San Mateo County.

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN TO 3RD GRADE

Our TK-3 teachers, students, and families head to San Mateo County’s Memorial Park in Loma Mar every other year to camp among the soothing redwoods. This bi-annual trip is over three days and two nights.

During the trip, the group explores the many trails and meadows, swim and play in a nearby creek, and roast marshmallows by a campfire. Everyone shares in the communal duties of preparing and sharing meals.

7TH GRADERS

Synergy’s 7th graders participate in an annual spring backpacking trip at the scenic Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County.

The 70,000 acre park is an extraordinary nature preserve that allows campers to explore and share in many outdoor activities. Communal meals and campfires are also part of the experience.
