Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees focuses on the mission, values, and welfare of the school and holds the fiduciary responsibility to ensure its sustainability.
Trustees are involved in strategic planning, setting policies that guide the Educational Cooperative, approving annual budgets, fundraising, and hiring and evaluating the teacher-administrators.
All full-time teachers including the teacher-administrators, some administrative staff members, the co-founders of the school, parents, and alumni sit on the Board. Members are recruited to ensure a diversity of experiences, perspectives, and skills. Like the Cooperative, the Board works on a collective leadership model and is guided by a Steering Committee.
The Board meets at least five times a year to consider, discuss, and build consensus for decisions. Much of its work is accomplished by committees and task forces.
