Thank you, Russ!
This year is an important one for Russ Curtis, our Director of Technology. 2016 marks his 10th year at Synergy! Yesterday afternoon we had an all school “surprise” assembly to commemorate Russ’ time here. The teachers and staff performed a comedic skit that captured the wide range of requests they expect Russ to complete, and they sang a creative rendition of Village People’s “Macho Man” (At Synergy, Russ is our “Techno Man”). Check out the video here!
Following the teachers’ performances, each class paid tribute to Russ’ ongoing classroom support. The fourth and fifth graders and the middle schoolers even made their own videos that demonstrated their appreciation for all the important–and the menial–tasks that they ask of him. Finally, everyone went around the room and directly thanked Russ for all his hard work and dedication over the years. A particularly notable expression of gratitude came from a member the 4/5 class: “Russ, you remind me of Harry Potter. You live under the stairs and you have magical powers.” (To clarify, Russ’ office is located under the school’s main stairway.)
Thanks for everything you do, Russ. We appreciate you!
