Language Arts - 5th Grade

Our combination class of 4^th and 5^th graders allows many opportunities for students to work at their own level in language arts. We often integrate activities with our social studies curriculum such as reading historical fiction and non-fiction texts in book groups. We use the Lucy Calkins Writer’s Workshop and rotate the units of both 4th and 5th grade.
